Event: Tech Innovation Framework (TIF) Expo 2023/in /by

We’re inviting people who work in primary care organisations and those responsible for the procurement of digital systems to attend a supplier expo in February. 

The event will take place virtually over a 2-week period from 14 to 28 February. The 8 Tech Innovation Framework (TIF) suppliers will showcase the work they’re doing to develop new intuitive core clinical digital systems for GP practices and primary care organisations. 

This is an opportunity to share your thoughts, ideas and requirements with these TIF suppliers.

Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is the global interoperability standard. To help us ensure a standard way of handling interactions between different systems, and to improve interoperability, we invite you to participate in Sprint 6 of the Clinical and Technical Assurance process, in which we will review the resources used to support diagnostics of use cases.

Apply for Care ID is a simple and secure ID application enabling health and care staff, including students, to verify their identity to access national clinical information systems and data. The app is remotely accessible anytime and provides a time saving alternative to face-to-face registrations. Find out more about the service.

Over 300 users have already signed up to the new developer community; an online space for those wanting to integrate with the NHS Digital API platform. It also provides quick and easy access to commonly asked questions for those involved in healthcare software.

We are tweaking our approach to this bulletin in response to feedback. Instead of relying on a quarterly bulletin, which has sometimes meant information has arrived too late and buried in a long email, we have set up this section on our website for essential information for technology suppliers.   

When essential items are added to the website, we will email you an alert. You will receive a short summary of these alerts every quarter instead of the bulletin.

For information: NHS Digital merges with NHS England/in /by

In February 2023, NHS Digital will merge with NHS England. NHS England will assume responsibility for all activities previously undertaken by NHS Digital. 

NHS Digital’s systems and services will continue to operate as normal and contracts will automatically transfer to NHS England, with terms and conditions unchanged.
